Terms of use
Effective date: 11 October 2026
Who we are
Australian Apps (“we” or “us”) makes the apps Quotemate, ScreenOff Player and Wombat Sums, and the Bush Glass icon pack, and runs this website, australianapps.com. To reach us, send a message with our contact form.
What these terms cover
These terms apply when you use this website or any of our products. By using them, you accept these terms. Each product also has its own section below: Quotemate, ScreenOff Player, Wombat Sums and Bush Glass.
Apps from the App Store
Our apps come from Apple's App Store, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) is your licence to use them. These terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA governs your licence.
Because our apps come from the App Store:
- These terms are between you and Australian Apps, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for our apps and their content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for our apps. Support comes from us, through each app's support page and our contact form.
- If an app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for our apps.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claim about our apps, from you or anyone else. That includes product liability claims, claims that an app doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer protection or privacy law, and claims that an app infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they apply to our apps, and can enforce them against you once you accept them.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple handles every purchase in our apps, through your Apple Account.
- Prices. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you confirm. Australian prices include GST.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Subscriptions. A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel; cancel any time in your Apple Account's subscription settings. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends, so cancel at least 24 hours before then to stop it. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and the subscription keeps working until the current period ends.
- Free trials. A free trial is for new subscribers, and the App Store shows how long it lasts before you confirm. Apple decides who is eligible, generally one trial per Apple Account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and payment is charged to your Apple Account. If you cancel during the trial, Apple may end it straight away.
- Price changes. If a subscription's price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where its rules require, asks you to agree before you're charged the new price.
- Refunds. Apple processes App Store refunds, so ask Apple first at reportaproblem.apple.com. If that doesn't sort it out, contact us. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Family Sharing. Where a product's page says a purchase works with Family Sharing, as the Wombat Sums unlock does, Apple shares it with your family group.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in these terms or in the Standard EULA excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees, or any other right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.
Using our products and this website
- Lawful use. Use our products and this website only in ways the law allows.
- Your data, on your device. We never receive or hold a copy of what you put into our apps. Each app's privacy policy says what stays on your device and what goes elsewhere: Quotemate, ScreenOff Player and Wombat Sums.
- Backups. Please keep backups, such as your device's iCloud backup. Because we never hold your data, we can't recover it if it's lost.
Quotemate
Quotemate Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription, with a free trial for new subscribers. Its two plans are Pro Monthly and Pro Annual. New subscribers get a free trial on either plan. It renews until you cancel; cancel any time in your Apple Account, or in the app at Settings › Quotemate Pro › Manage subscription. Purchases and subscriptions explains payment, renewal and refunds.
What needs a subscription
Everything you've made stays yours to open, edit, send and record payments against. Converting an accepted quote, variations, deposit and final invoices, credit notes, reminders and restoring a backup never need a subscription. You need an active subscription to create new quotes, invoices, customers and price list items, and for the Bold and Minimal templates, your accent colour, backup files, export and iCloud sync.
Not tax, legal or accounting advice
Quotemate is a document tool. It gives you the fields the ATO lists for a tax invoice, but it does not check your tax position and it is not tax, legal or accounting advice. Quotemate is not connected to the ATO and is not endorsed by it. You are responsible for whether your documents and your GST are right. Check anything you're unsure about with your accountant or registered tax agent.
Your documents and your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- what your quotes, invoices and other documents say, and for checking them before you send them;
- the details you enter, including your ABN, your GST registration setting, prices and bank details;
- your GST, tax and other obligations as a business, and the terms you put on your documents;
- keeping your business records for as long as you need to, and keeping your own backups.
Quotemate checks some things for you, such as the details a tax invoice needs before you issue it. Those checks are there to help; they don't confirm that a document is right for your situation.
ScreenOff Player
ScreenOff Player is a web browser made for video and audio. It plays them straight from the websites you visit, like any browser. We don't host, provide or unlock any of that content, and ScreenOff never downloads, saves or converts media or changes a website's content. You're responsible for following the terms of the websites you visit. ScreenOff isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the websites you visit.
Wombat Sums
Wombat Sums is a maths game for children aged 4 to 6. A parent or carer accepts these terms for their child and makes any purchase. Purchases, settings and links out of the app sit behind a grown-up gate.
Bush Glass
Bush Glass is an icon pack for iPhone and iPad: a digital download, sold through Etsy. Etsy handles payment and the download, and Etsy's own terms apply to your purchase. If a file is faulty or doesn't work as described, message us on Etsy or with our contact form. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply.
Your purchase gives you a personal licence to use the pack on your own devices. Don't resell, share or redistribute the pack or any of its files.
Every icon is a generic symbol, never a brand logo. App names in the pack, in its file names, install profile and the PDF guide's app index, are trade marks of their owners, used only to show which app an icon is for. Bush Glass isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of them. The licence in the pack has the details, and its third-party notices cover the open-source parts.
This website
Unless we say otherwise, the content of this website, including its words, pictures and videos, is copyright Australian Apps.
This website links to other websites, such as Apple's. We don't control them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Our liability
Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, and to the extent the law allows:
- we don't promise that our products or this website will always work without errors or always be available;
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, or for any tax, penalty, interest or shortfall arising from documents you create or send with Quotemate;
- where the law lets us limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the goods or services again, or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when a product or the law changes. We'll change the effective date above and, if a change could disadvantage you, show it on this page at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, stop using the product and cancel any subscription before then. Changes to a subscription's price are handled by Apple, as described above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
