Quotemate

Privacy policy

Effective date: 3 October 2026

Quotemate is a quote and invoice app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by Australian Apps Pty Ltd (“we” or “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Quotemate.

In short

No account and no server

Quotemate has no account, no login and no server (no “backend”). We don't run any system that receives the information you put into the app, so we can't see it, sell it or share it. On the App Store, Quotemate's privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

No analytics, advertising or tracking

The app contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and no code from other companies that does any of these. It doesn't track you across other apps or websites.

Our website has its own short privacy notice.

Your data stays on your device

Everything you put into Quotemate is stored by the app on your device, protected by your device's built-in encryption. That includes your business details (such as your name, ABN, licence numbers, addresses, logo, bank details and PayID), your customers, quotes, invoices, payments, price lists, signatures and any photos you attach.

It leaves your device only when you choose:

When you take a photo, choose a photo or pick someone from Contacts, Quotemate receives only what you choose, and keeps it on your device. Face ID, Touch ID and your passcode are handled by Apple; Quotemate never receives them. Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device.

iCloud sync, if you turn it on

iCloud sync is off until you turn it on. When it's on, Quotemate copies your data to your own private iCloud database, under your Apple Account, so your iPhone, iPad and Mac stay in step. That database is yours: only you can read it, and we can't. It uses your iCloud storage.

Apple stores and protects your iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy, and may store it on servers outside Australia. Turning sync off leaves your data on the device and doesn't delete the copy in iCloud. You can delete that copy yourself (see “Deleting your data” below).

Backup files are not encrypted

A Quotemate backup is a plain, readable .quotemate file. It isn't encrypted or password-protected, and it holds your bank details and your customers' details. The same goes for the files Export creates. Quotemate never sends these files anywhere; they're saved where you choose, so keep them somewhere private.

Purchases are handled by Apple

Quotemate Pro is bought, billed, renewed, cancelled and refunded by Apple through your Apple Account. The app checks your subscription with Apple on your device. We never receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple gives us sales reports that don't identify you.

Crash reports from Apple

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass us crash reports and usage statistics for Quotemate. Apple collects these, not the app, and they don't identify you to us. We use them only to fix problems. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Delete Quotemate from a device and all of its data on that device is deleted with it. If you used iCloud sync, you can delete the copy in your iCloud from the Settings app: tap your name, then iCloud, then manage your storage, and choose Quotemate. Backup and export files you saved, and documents you sent, stay where they are until you delete them.

There's nothing to request from us or ask us to erase, because we never had your data.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply to you, keep it only as long as we need to help you, and never sell it or share it for marketing. Ask us and we'll tell you what we hold, correct it or delete it. Please don't send a backup file unless we ask for one.

Children

Quotemate is a business tool for adults and isn't directed at children. It collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Australian Privacy Principles

We've written this policy with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in mind, and we handle any personal information you send us, such as an email, as this policy describes. If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, email us first. If you're not satisfied with our response, or you haven't heard back within 30 days, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. If a future version of Quotemate ever needs to collect information, we'll say so here and update the App Store privacy label before that version is released.
