ScreenOff Player is a web browser for iPhone and iPad, made for video and audio. Press play on a web page, then lock your phone or switch apps, and it keeps playing. It also has Picture in Picture, AirPlay, a Timer that stops playback, and a Now Playing player with speed, skip and loop.
Tips
Picture in Picture
Tap the video's fullscreen button, then swipe up to go home, and the video floats over your other apps. You can also tap PiP in the Now Playing bar.
If audio stops in the background
Check that Background Playback is on in Settings, then open ScreenOff, press play and lock the screen again. A video playing fullscreen keeps going in Picture in Picture.
Desktop sites
Tap More to switch between the desktop and mobile versions of a site.
Timer
In Now Playing, tap Timer to stop playback after a set time or at the end of the video.
Clearing website data
Clear Cookies and Website Data in Settings removes what websites have stored and signs you out of them.
Questions
Why does one website behave differently?
Websites run their own players, so a few work differently from others. ScreenOff doesn't change website content.
Can I download videos?
No. ScreenOff plays the video and audio on the websites you visit; it doesn't download or save media.
Is background playback free?
Yes. Background playback, Picture in Picture, AirPlay and the Timer are always free. ScreenOff Pro is an optional one-time purchase that removes ads and adds accent colours and app icons.
